INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY

AESOP's Investment Primer from around 550BC A Bird in the hand worth two in the Bush.

Buffett completed with.. Exactly when we get 2 birds and what Interest rate to measure against. i.e. 'We hunt for deeply undervalued assets with a wide margin of safety. This requires extensive research, business analysis-"scuttlebutt" and patience. But when we find a compelling opportunity, we act decisively, committing significant capital. Success depends on preparation and the willingness to swing hard when the perfect pitch arrives.'

In making investments, We believe in what Buffett referred in his 1997 letter 'We try to exert a Ted Williams kind of discipline. In his book The Science of Hitting, Ted explains that he carved the strike zone into 77 cells, each the size of a baseball. Swinging only at balls in his "best" cell, he knew, would allow him to bat .400; reaching for balls in his "worst" spot, the low outside corner of the strike zone, would reduce him to .230. In other words, waiting for the fat pitch would mean a trip to the Hall of Fame; swinging indiscriminately would mean a ticket to the minors'
